Hi Tom,

Actually, XDAS has been around since 1998 as a preliminary spec.  It's sponsored by the OpenGroup, they're doing a new round of updates, and I know they are looking for as much community involvement as possible to serve on the standards committee.  If anyone's interested in helping out, contact me out of band and I will find out the best way to get involved.

Also BTW, Novell has developed a full open-source API for XDAS called OpenXDAS:

I'd really like to hear all your comments, but not sure if this is the appropriate forum.  But if anyone takes the time to actually read through the spec and comment, that would be awesome.
