Nobody's going to force anyone to do anything. I'm just trying to solve
my own problem. If you like regexes you can use them to your heart's
content for as long as you like.

None of the work I engage in is "standards track" or anything like that,
either. It's all just take it or leave it. (cue Sinatra "My Way" and exit)
