Perhaps change the default behavior so this feature is not on by
default, with instructions for how to turn it on that most people won't
probably read. See how many people yowl and ask them their use cases. ;)
That way the functionality is still there but you're stepping toward the
ultimate goal and may collect some useful information in the process.
